Who builds it
Cosmetic Checker is built and run by Peyton Greenwood, an independent developer. There's no big company behind it, so when you email, the person who wrote the app reads it.
What it does
Scan the barcode or ingredient label on your makeup, skincare, supplements, food or household products. Cosmetic Checker gives each product a 0–10 clean score with a Clean, Mixed or Avoid verdict, explains every flagged ingredient in plain English, and maps it to the concerns you picked, like breakouts, sensitivity or hormones. No account and no sign-up. Your answers and scan history stay on your iPhone. The full details are in the privacy policy.
